Turkey, US to Sign Three Agreements on Iraq
Turkey and the United States will sign three agreements and exchange two letters after the Turkish parliament adopts the motion on US troop deployment in Turkey, the Turkish daily Hurriyet (Freedom) reported on Wednesday.

The military agreement will be signed by Turkish Ambassador Deniz Bolukbasi and US Ambassador Marisa Lino; The political agreement to be signed by Turkish Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Ugur Ziyal and US Ambassador to Turkey Robert Pearson; The economic one by Turkish Foreign Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Alev Kilic and US Ambassador Pearson.
Following the agreements, US President George W. Bush and Turkish Prime Minister Abdullah Gul will exchange letters. Bush will write a letter and act as guarantor and the agreements will besigned under the guarantee of White House. Gul will also convey the commitment that he will abide by the agreements.
Meanwhile, the Turkish government is considering how to arrange the deployment of the 62,000 US combat troops, equal to two armies, in Turkish territory.
Tent-cities will be set up in Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Malatya, Batman and Silopi in the southeastern region. The US soldiers who will arrive in Iskenderun by seaway will come to Gaziantep and will be sent to other centers.
Soldiers will pass through the Habur crossing on the Turko-Iraqi border to enter northern Iraq.
