The US military committed encroachment on the airspace of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Tuesday.
Supported by a KC-135 tanker aircraft, a RC-135 reconnaissance plane of the US military, which flew from an overseas base, encroached upon the airspace above the territorial waters between Musudan and Wonsan Bay in the eastern part of the DPRK, the official news agency said.
The reconnaissance plane committed encroachment on the same area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the report added.
The encroachment came as South Korea and the United States werebusy preparing to launch joint military exercises early next month, the report said.
The US should take into consideration the results of its reconnaissance to the DPRK and stop such acts in the future, the KCNA warned.
