8 Including Afghan Minister Confirmed Dead in Plane Crash

Minister for Mines and Industries of Afghanistan Juma Mohammad Mohammadi died aboard a Pakistani plane that crashed on the southern coast of Pakistan, according to media reports Monday.

Afghan Minister for Mines and Industries Juma Muhammed Muhammedi and seven others are confirmed killed on board of the aircraft which crashed near Pakistan's Karachi city on Monday.

The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) quoted Pakistan Navy sources as saying that the wreckage and the bodies have been recovered nine nautical miles off a Karachi port.

The APP said the small private plane was on trip from Karachi to Juzzak, Balochistan province and carrying seven passengers on board including the Afghan minister, his three officials and a Chinese businessman.
