Yao Fouled out in Houston's Second OT Loss to Lakers

Houston Rockets center Yao Mingwas fouled out for the first time since he joined the NBA league when the Rockets lost 106-99 in a hard-fought game to the Los Angeles Lakers on two overtimes on Tuesday.

Houston Rockets center Yao Mingwas fouled out for the first time since he joined the NBA league when the Rockets lost 106-99 in a hard-fought game to the Los Angeles Lakers on two overtimes on Tuesday.

Yao, who had a team-high 24 points and 14 rebounds in 40 minutes, picked up his sixth fouls when he battled down Mark Madsen for an inbound with 29.2 seconds left in the first overtime. This was his third in the five-minute period.

The Lakers took the advantage of the absence of Yao to win 106-99.
