Chinese, Zambian Leaders Hail Bilateral Ties

Visiting Chinese Leader Li Ruihuan and Zambian National Assembly Speaker Amusaa Mwanamwambwa held talks in Lusaka on Monday, agreeing to push forward bilateral ties in various fields.

Visiting Chinese Leader Li Ruihuan and Zambian National Assembly Speaker Amusaa Mwanamwambwa held talks in Lusaka on Monday, agreeing to push forward bilateral ties in various fields.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said the two countries have supported and helped each other in the past decades in economic development and international affairs.

He said that China has given Zambia economic assistance while Zambia rendered valuable support to China on the issues of Taiwan and human rights. Mwanamwambwa described Li Ruihuan's visit as an important development in the time��honored relations between the two countries. He thanked China for its support to his country in the struggle for independence, economic development, medical service and infrastructure in rural areas.
