Iraqi President Hails Anti-war Demonstrations Worldwide

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on Monday hailed demonstrations worldwide against US war threats on Iraq, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on Monday hailed demonstrations worldwide against US war threats on Iraq, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.

The pioneering and humane attitudes shown in the demonstrationsall over the world deserved appreciation and showed that "ourprinciples were and are right", Saddam told a cabinet meeting here.

Iraq will continue to adhere to these principles, he said.

More than 10 million people took to the street on Sunday toprotest the US threat of using force to disarm Iraq.

All people in the world should work for peace based on justiceand mutual love, and all peoples of the world would remember therights of others at the time when they cling to their own rights,Saddam added.

Meanwhile, the cabinet members hailed the Palestinian uprisingand expressed Iraq's continued support to the Palestinians.
