Russia Ready to Take Part in Settling DPRK Nuclear Crisis
Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said Saturday that Russia is ready to actively participate in settling nuclear crisis in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said Saturday that Russia is ready to actively participate in settling nuclear crisis in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
"The settlement of the situation on the Korean Peninsula will become an important contribution to the development of our relations," Ivanov told Cho Sung-heng, visiting special envoy of Roh Moo-hyun, the President-elect of the Republic of Korea (ROK).
He stressed that all measures must be undertaken to "return the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a political channel."
Russia has maintained good ties with the DPRK and has repeatedly called for solution to the nuclear crisis by political and diplomatic means.
