Guinea-Bissau Steps up Protection of Chinese Embassy

Guinea-Bissau police have started 24-hour patrolling around the Chinese embassy after Chinese Ambassador Gao Kexiang was wounded by four armed robbers in the embassy on Monday, reports from Bissau said.

Guinea-Bissau police have started 24-hour patrolling around the Chinese embassy after Chinese Ambassador Gao Kexiang was wounded by four armed robbers in the embassy on Monday, reports from Bissau said.

During the incident, Gao was stabbed on the back, and suffered several fractures. Two other embassy staff members were also injured.
