Powell May Attend Crucial UN Security Council Meeting on Friday

United States Secretary of State Colin Powell may take part in the United Nations Security Council meeting on Friday when UN weapons inspectors would submit a critical report on Iraq's compliance with UN resolutions demanding its disarmament, government sources said Wednesday.

French and Russian Foreign Ministers, Dominique de Villepin andIgor Ivanov, would probably attend the meeting.
