CPPCC Chairman Winds up Visit to Tanzania
Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), wound up his four-day official goodwill visit to Tanzania and left for Windhoek Wednesday afternoon.

He was seen off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport by Pius Msekwa, speaker of the Tanzanian National Assembly.
During his stay in Tanzania, Li exchanged views on issues of common concern in separate meetings with Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa, Prime Minister Fredrick Sumaye, Msekwa and Zanzibar President Amani Abeid Karume.
He voiced China's readiness and wish to strengthen the friendlyrelations and cooperation between China and African countries, including Tanzania.
He also expressed appreciation for the all-out efforts of the Tanzanian government to explore a political system and a way forward suited to its national conditions while deepening reform and pursuing economic development.
Li also reiterated that China will continue its assistance to Tanzania and make a contribution to the east African country's economic and social development.
Li arrived in Dar es Salaam Sunday afternoon, the first leg of his three-nation tour to Africa, which will also bring him to Namibia and Zambia.
