In the talks, Khatami urged Iraq to "adopt appropriate policy to help resolve the current crisis peacefully and remove any pretext for possible conflict in the region."

Sabri was quoted as replying that "Iraq is exercising full cooperation with the United Nations arms inspectors."

The Iraqi foreign minister arrived here Sunday afternoon on an unscheduled visit.

During the talks between Sabri and his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharrazi on Sunday, Kharrazi warned that "Iraq's full compliance with the UN Security Council resolutions is the last chance to resolve the crisis."
