CPPCC Chairman Leaves for Three African Nations

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), left Beijing Sunday for an official goodwill visit to Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), left Beijing Sunday for an official goodwill visit to Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia.

Li was invited by the National Assembly of Tanzania, the National Council of Namibia and the National Assembly of Zambia.

The visit was originally scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2002, but was later rescheduled.
