UN Inspectors Search 12 Iraqi Sites for Banned Weapons

Experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conducted a survey of the Al Rasheed Camp, the First Military College and the Al Rasheed air base.
A team of chemical experts from the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC) went to Al Shaikhly warehouse in Al Twaitha, 25 km south of Baghdad.
Some UNMOVIC biological experts went to the Al Nu'man state company of the Iraqi Military Industrialization Commission (MIC), while another team headed to a nutrition research institute in Baghdad's Al Wazeria district.
A team of missile experts went to the Al Mu'tasim factory of Al Rasheed state company, which is also affiliated with the MIC, and inspected the missiles assembling building.
Another team of missile experts went to Al fatah factory relatedto Al Karama state company in the Al Taji area north of Baghdad, the spokesman said.
Other UN arms experts fanned out to carry out their unannounced inspections at six more suspected sites across Iraq.
The UN weapons experts resumed their hunting for prohibited weapons of mass destruction in Iraq on Nov. 27 after a four-year suspension and have so far searched almost 600 suspected sites.
