Chinese pair triumphant in Winter Asiad ice dancing

Chinese pair Zhang Weina and Cao Xianming emerged as winners in the ice dancing event on Tuesday to award the country the second gold medal at the 5th Winter Asian Games, which will run here through Saturday.

Chinese Pair Triumphant in Winter Asiad Ice Dancing
Chinese pair Zhang Weina and Cao Xianming emerged as winners in the ice dancing event on Tuesday to award the country the second gold medal at the 5th Winter Asian Games, which will run here through Saturday.

Zhang and Cao, leaders after the compulsory dance and original routines, clinched the free dance Tuesday afternoon skating to "Far and Away" by John Williams for the overall victory.

Japanese pairs Watanabe Nozomi/Kido Akiyuki and Arikawa Rie/Miyamoto Kenjiboth took home the silver and bronze medals, ahead of another Chinese duo Yang Fang and Gao Chongbo.
