Efforts to Avoid War Should Continue: Jordanian FM
Jordanian Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher said here Monday that efforts trying to avoid a possible Iraqi war are far from over after talks with his Greek counterpart George Papandreou, Petra News Agency reported.

Muasher told visiting Papandreou, whose country holds the current rotating presidency of the European Union, that the "high potentials of war against Iraq should not make us stop our efforts,and does not mean that our efforts for reaching a diplomatic solution have stopped."
For his part, Papandreou describing the war as "not inevitable",saying it could be averted by Iraq's full cooperation with the UN inspectors.
Muasher also said if the war on Iraq breaks out, Jordan might lose the neighbor's oil supplies and face serious refugee problems,stressing his country could not accept refugees any more.
As for the Palestinian-Israeli issue, Muasher believed "it is high time to implement the road map," and he said that the coming meeting of Arab foreign ministers will discuss means to find political solution to the pending issues, according to Petra.
Papandreou arrived in Amman late Sunday from Syria, and has heldtalks with Jordanian King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Ali Abul Ragheb.
