CPPCC Chairman to Visit Three African Nations

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), will pay an official goodwill visit to Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia from Feb. 9 to 19.

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), will pay an official goodwill visit to Tanzania, Namibia and Zambia from Feb. 9 to 19.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue said here Thursday that Li was invited by the National Assembly of Tanzania,the National Council of Namibia and the National Assembly of Zambia.

The visit was originally scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2002, but was delayed due to certain reasons, Zhang said without giving the reasons.
