15 Fishermen Still Missing in South China Sea

Local rescue workers said Wednesday they are continuing the search for 15 fishermen who disappeared after their vessel capsized off the coast of Sanmen Island in Daya Bay, south China.

Local rescue workers said Wednesday they are continuing the search for 15 fishermen who disappeared after their vessel capsized off the coast of Sanmen Island in Daya Bay, south China.

The rescue team, still holding out hope that it will find survivors, realizes that with each passing day, the probability diminishes.

Sixteen people were on board the "Yuehuiyang No. 16104," which sank at 4:40 a.m. Monday. Thus far, only one survivor has been rescued, a female crew member named Huang Liduan.

Municipal officials in Huizhou, Guangdong Province, have ordered rescue teams composed of police officers, government officials, and fishermen to search for the missing people. Frogmenhave also joined the rescue efforts.

The "Yuehuiyang No. 16104" was owned by Zou Yuanqiang, a resident of Aotou, Dayawan. The captain on board was Xu Rongsheng,26. All crew members were from neighboring Fujian Province.
