Ma Yunfeng Wins China's Sixth Gold at Winter Universiade

Ma Yunfeng won China's sixth gold medal at the Winter Universiade on Sunday, taking the men's 3000 meters short-track speedskating event in Piancavallo, Italy.

Ma Yunfeng Wins China's Sixth Gold at Winter Universiade
Ma Yunfeng won China's sixth gold medal at the Winter Universiade on Sunday, taking the men's 3000 meters short-track speedskating event in Piancavallo, Italy.

Ma clocked a fastest time of five minutes 29.575 seconds.

Marc-Andre Monette of Canada took the silver in 5:29.762. Yoshiharu Arino of Japan took the bronze, Japan's first medal in the short-track speedskating competitions at the games, in 5:29.881.

China has swept six of eight gold medals on offer in speedskating. Two relay golds will be decided later on Sunday.
