Zhu Mile Wins China's 5th Gold at Winter Universiade

Zhu Mile won the title of the women's 3,000 meters short-track speedskating event at the world university winter games in Piancavallo on Sunday.

Zhu Mile won the title of the women's 3,000 meters short-track speedskating event at the world university winter games in Piancavallo on Sunday.

This was the Chinese fifth gold medal. All these gold medals were won by their short-track speedskaters.

The 19-year-old Zhu, a silver medalist in the 1,500m on Thursday in Piancavallo, won the gold on Sunday with a time of five minutes 13.446 seconds.

Kim Hye-Kyung of South Korea took the silver in 5:13.501 and Italian Marta Capurso finished third in 5:18.266.
