Senior CPC Official Meets Thai Guests

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met Friday with a delegation from the National Development Party (NDP) of Thailand, praising the NDP's positive role in promoting friendly ties between Thailand and China.

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met Friday with a delegation from the National Development Party (NDP) of Thailand, praising the NDP's positive role in promoting friendly ties between Thailand and China.

Wu Guanzheng, a Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said the two countries have achieved remarkable results in boosting bilateral trade, cultural exchanges and tourism.

The CPC will continue to work with the NDP and other major political forces in Thailand to advance the Sino-Thai relations, Wu said.

Wu's comments were echoed by Suwat Liptapanlop, secretary-general of the NDP, who led the delegation.

The Thai guest said the NDP attaches great importance to its relationship with the CPC.
