He also conveyed the warm greetings from Chinese President Jiang Zemin to the king.
The king expressed satisfaction with the smooth development of bilateral relations and admired the great achievements China has gained during the reform.
Members of the royal family frequently visit China, he said, adding that they are eager to know changes in China, to contact Chinese people and learn from China's experience in economic and social development, especially those in infrastructure construction and water resources development.
He noted that the royal family has great interests in improving exchanges between Thailand and China in the fields of culture, education and technique and science. He wished the two sides would make further efforts to broaden their cooperation in various fields so as to benefit the people of both countries.
