China Makes Representations against Koizumi's Shrine Visit

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang Tuesday lodged serious representations to Japanese Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami about Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's latest visit to the Yasukuni Shrine.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang Tuesday lodged serious representations to Japanese Ambassador to China Koreshige Anami about Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's latest visit to the Yasukuni Shrine.

Yang expressed the Chinese government and people's strong dissatisfaction and indignation over Koizumi's visit.

Also on Tuesday, Chinese Ambassador to Japan Wu Dawei in Tokyo made a serious representation to Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Takeuchi Yukio upon instruction.
