Eight Confirmed Dead in Coal Mine Accident
Two more bodies were recovered Saturday from a coal mine in northwest China, bringing the death toll from the Friday accident to eight.

Two more bodies were recovered Saturday from a coal mine in northwest China, bringing the death toll from the Friday accident to eight.
Officials with
Jilin
Provincial Coal Mine Safety Inspection Bureau said a total of eight people were buried underground the Songshu coal mine in a rural part of the Tonghua City in northeast China's Jilin province on Friday morning.
Six bodies were recovered on Friday, said the officials.
The exact nature and cause of the accident are still under investigation.
