More than 4,200 sales people of China's Ping'an Insurance Company gained an IQAs (International Quality Award) Thursday in Shanghai.

This was the first time the international Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association (LIMRA) has awarded IQAs on the Chinese mainland.

The IQA, created by LIMRA in 1961, is an authoritative recognition and certification for excellent quality and a good reputation in sales.

The award showed that the marketing level of China's life insurance industry had improved, said Wang Liping, the president of Ping'an Life.

Ping'an began to cooperate with LIMRA last year. By adopting the IQA and LASS (Limra Agent Selection System), the company succeeded in selecting 250,000 sales people, said Wang.

Ping'an was scientifically fostering sales people of high quality, which was very important for the sound development of China's insurance industry, said Thomas Kelly, vice-president of LIMRA, who was in Shanghai to bestow the awards.

China's insurance market had huge potential, with a great demand for sales people, he said.

LIMRA was founded in the United States in 1916, and has 600 members around the world.
