Li Ruihuan Praises Macao CPPCC Members

Visiting Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Li Ruihuan Thursday spoke highly of the contributions made by the CPPCC members in Macao.

Li Ruihuan Praises Macao CPPCC Members
Visiting Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee Li Ruihuan Thursday spoke highly of the contributions made by the CPPCC members in Macao.

In discussions with the Macao CPPCC members, Li praised them for their support of the Basic Law and the implementation of the "one country, two systems" principle in Macao.

Li noted that the Macao CPPCC members, who are all influential figures in Macao, have given full support for the work of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) government headed by Edmund HoHau Wah and exerted great efforts to maintain Macao's stability and prosperity.

Li said the members have also been actively engaged in the economic development of China's inland.

"They have taken full advantage of the special relations with the inland and Taiwan to push forward exchanges across the Straitsand the reunification cause of the motherland," Li Ruihuan said.

Li hopes the Macao CPPCC members will carry forward the glorious tradition of loving both Macao and the motherland, unite people from all walks of life and work with one heart and one mindto manage well Macao's affairs, and continue to use their special influence to contribute more to the reform and opening-up drive and modernization efforts of the motherland.
