Chinese international Shao Jiayi is close to joining TSV Munich 1860 on a four-year loan, his Chinese club Beijing Guo'an said Tuesday in Beijing.

Guo'an has reached "a preliminary agreement" with the representatives of TSV Munich 1860, said Guo'an president Ma Bing.

"But the contract still needs to be approved by the board of TSV Munich 1860," he added.

Three representatives from the German club held discussions with Guo'an on Monday and Tuesday. The negotiation had reportedlybroken down because of the differences over the transfer fee.

"Both sides made some concessions so that we finally reached anagreement," said Ma.

But Ma refused to disclose the sum of the transfer fee.

The 22-year-old Shao, who was part of the Chinese squad which made its debut in the World Cup finals last year, spent nine days training with TSV Munich 1860 last month.
