Roh Moo-hyun Appoints Head of Transition Team
South Korean President-elect Roh Moo-hyun appointed Lim Chae-jeong, currently the head of the Millennium Democratic Party's Policy Committee, to the top post in his Presidential Transition Committee (PTC).

Roh's spokesman Lee Nak-yon said Lim had managed campaign pledges and promises, and was reform-minded.
The president-elect is expected to appoint 25 members to the committee including scholars, bureaucrats and experts.
On Tuesday, Roh sent MDP Assemblyman Yoo Jay-kun to attend a security meeting of related ministers, as his representative. In addition he is expected to send a five-man delegation including Yoo and Lee Hong-ku, the former ambassador to the United States, to Washington in mid January, to discuss concerns on the peninsula.
