CYLC Central Committee Convenes Plenary Meeting
The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), the world's largest youth organization, convened its sixth plenary meeting of the 14th National Congress Central Committee in Beijing Wednesday.
The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), the world's largest youth organization, convened its sixth plenary meeting of the 14th National Congress Central Committee in Beijing Wednesday.
Speaking at the meeting, Wang Zhaoguo, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, urged CYLC members to bear in mind the significance of the 16th CPC National Congress to the CPC and to the country.
He asked CYLC members to review the guidelines of the 16th CPC National Congress so as to improve the work of the CYLC.
Zhou Qiang, first secretary of the secretariat of the CYLC central committee, presided over the meeting. The CYLC 15th National Congress will be held next year in Beijing, and this plenary meeting is doing the necessary preparatory work.
Founded in 1922, the Communist Youth League of China currently has about 70 million members from 14 to 28 years of age. The League is subordinate to the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
