The United States has started its military concentration in northern Iraq for a possible operation against Iraq, local press reported on Monday.
A total of 50 TIR trucks carrying military equipments were firstly brought to Incirlik base in Turkey's southern province of Adana and then entered northern Iraq through the Habur crossing on the Turkish-Iraqi border, according to the Turkish-language newspaper Turkiye.
The Turkish government has to give an official response to the request for a visit of US technical delegation to airports in southern and southeastern Turkey that the US administration wants to use for its possible operation against Iraq.
The Turkish government is expected to make the decision in this regard this week.
Another Turkish-language newspaper Milliyet (Freedom) reported that Washington would like to send soldiers to Turkey for a possible operation against Iraq.
Some sources was quoted as saying that Turkish soldiers are positive for the coordination and cooperation with the US soldiers but negative for their taking position in Turkey.
