Putin Meets Indian Prime Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin met Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee over dinner soon after his arrival in New Delhi on Tuesday evening for a three-day state visit.

Russian President Vladimir Putin met Indian Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee over dinner soon after his arrival in New Delhi on Tuesday evening for a three-day state visit.

Putin, who flew in from China, is scheduled to hold formal talks with Vajpayee, in which the two leaders will focus on anti-terrorism, trade and defense cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides are set to sign a host of agreements including Delhi Declaration on further strengthening strategic partnership between the two countries and others on cooperation in anti-terrorism and on boost of economic and trade, scientific and technological cooperation.
