Premier Zhu Rongji Meets US Guests

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met Tuesday in Beijing with former Secretary of State of the United States Henry Kissinger, Governor of Washington State Gary Locke and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Alan R.Mulally.

Premier Zhu Meets with former Secretary of State of the US Henry Kissinger
Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met here Tuesday with former Secretary of State of the United States Henry Kissinger, Governor of Washington State Gary Locke and President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes Alan R.Mulally.

Zhu thanked the guests for their contributions to the healthy and steady growth of Sino-US relations.

Zhu said a positive momentum has appeared recently in bilateral relations. Chinese President Jiang Zemin paid a successful visit to the United States earlier this year, he said.

The premier said the Chinese side is ready to join efforts with the United States to earnestly implement all the consensuses that the heads of state of the two countries reached and to increase dialogue and cooperation so as to advance Sino-US relations in a sound and stable way and to benefit the people of the two countries and the world at large.

Zhu briefed the guests about economic development in China and exchanged views with them on issues of common interest.
