Vehicle Products Imports over US$6 bln in First 10 Months
China's imports of vehicle products in the 10 months ending October hit a record of over 6 billion US dollars, with vehicle imports up 55 per cent on a year earlier to 100,000 units and passenger car imports at 56,000 units.

China's International Business Daily reported vehicle imports for the full-year could reach 120,000 units, while passenger car imports are expected to total 70,000 units.
The paper also reported that distribution of vehicle import quotas and permits for this year had been completed.
Under China's commitment to WTO, vehicle import quotas will be raised by 15 per cent next year to over 9 billion US dollars, while import tariffs will be lowered by 5.6 percentage points.
