IOC Coordination Commission President Arrives in Beijing

Hein Verbruggen, president of the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2008 Olympic Games, arrived in Beijing Sunday night for the Commission's Dec. 2-4 visit to Beijing.

Hein Verbruggen, president of the IOC Coordination Commission for the 2008 Olympic Games, arrived in Beijing Sunday night for the Commission's Dec. 2-4 visit to Beijing.

Heading the IOC Coordination Commission, Verbruggen will visit the venue construction spots on Monday.

During the three-day tour, the Coordination Commission will also listen to the presentations by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games (BOCOG) on their progress andfuture work in the following areas: venue construction, marketing,sports, environmental protection, accommodation and technology.

This was the Commission's third visit to Beijing since its establishment late last year.
