Chinese Skaters Sweep 500m
Li Jiajun of China won the men's 500m short track speed skating race Saturday, while compatriot Fu Tianyu took the women's event at the World Cup competition.

Li Jiajun of China won the men's 500m short track speed skating race Saturday, while compatriot Fu Tianyu took the women's event at the World Cup competition.
Li, Olympic silver medalist over 1,500m, crossed the line in 42.703 seconds. Jean-Francois Monette of
Canada
was second in 42.770,followed by South Korea's Lee Seung-jae in 43.483.
Fu clocked 45.237 seconds to win her first World Cup event thisseason and rob teammate Yang Yang (A), who was leading the race, of the title by .042 seconds.
Amelie Goulet-Nadon of Canada was third in 45.404.
