Beijing International Forum on China's WTO Entry, organized by the Beijing Foreign Trade Commission, is scheduled to run from December 17-19, 2002.

Centered around the theme of "WTO Expectations and World Experience Lectures", the two-day forum will host several lectures such as Regional Development after China's WTO Entry, International Investment and Competition and Laws and Comparisons on World Anti-Dumping Policies, as well as launching more than 20 theses.

Co-organized by the Montray Economic Research Center of the US, the Beijing Sub-council of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Research Center on International Finance of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the forum will draw scholars and researchers from academies both governmental and civil, home and abroad.

One year has passed since China gained formal membership in the World Trade Organization (WTO) on November 10, 2001 in Doha, capital of West Asia's Qatar. Long Yongtu, China Chief Negotiation Representative used to say, "China's Entry to WTO is a win-win result for both sides."
