Non-Communist Parties Study Guidelines from CPC Congress

Leaders of China's non-Communist parties and figures without party affiliation have in the past several days studied the guidelines set by the recent 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Leaders of China's non-Communist parties and figures without party affiliation have in the past several days studied the guidelines set by the recent 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The non-Communist party leaders and noted non-party figures have agreed that the multi-party cooperative and political consultative mechanism should be continued and strengthened in order to fortify the patriotic united front under the leadership of the CPC.

The non-Communist parties include Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, China Democratic League, China Democratic National Construction Association, China Association for Promoting Democracy, China Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, China Zhi Gong Party (Public Interest Party), Jiu San (September 3) Society,Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.

Over the past several days, non-Communist party leaders He Huli,Ding Shisun, Cheng Siwei, Xu Jialu, Jiang Zhenghua, Luo Haocai, WuJieping, Zhang Kehui and Jing Shuping attended related seminars convened by their own organizations.

In their respective addresses, they hailed the convening of theCPC congress and underlined its importance at a time when China is implementing the third step of its strategic plan in the course of ongoing socialist modernization drive.

Non-Communist parties should carry out their duties as participating members of the multi-party cooperative system under the leadership of the CPC, they said, noting that the resolutions adopted by the CPC congress reflect the will of the people.

The political leaders also congratulated the CPC on the smooth transition within the central leadership, which they said reflects the CPC's maturity and talent.
