More Party Leaders Hail Jiang's Re-election as Chairman of CPC Central Military Commission
More leaders of friendly parties and organizations have sent warm congratulatory messages to China's Jiang Zemin on his re-election as chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at the CPC's 16th National Congress which concluded last Thursday.
More leaders of friendly parties and organizations have sent warm congratulatory messages to China's Jiang Zemin on his re-election as chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China (CPC), at the CPC's 16th National Congress which concluded last Thursday.
Fidel Castro, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, sent his warmest greetings to Jiang on his re-election, and said he was glad to hear the CPC's 16th National Congress had concludedsuccessfully. This showed that under the current fairly complex international situation, Jiang had made consistent efforts and scored outstanding achievements in the cause of building socialismin China. The message wished Jiang greater accomplishment during his tenure.
Khamtay Siphandone, president of People's Revolutionary Party of Laos, extended his warm congratulations and good wishes to Jiang. He said in his congratulatory message the Lao People's Revolutionary Party held the firm belief that under the wise leadership of the CPC and the CPC Central Military Commission withJiang as its chairman, the People's Republic of China would grow stronger and more modernized; China's armed forces would become the mainstay in safeguarding China's revolutionary cause; China's socialist system would be stronger, and China would display a moreimportant role in safeguarding peace and stability in the whole world, especially in the Asian-Pacific region. The message ended wishing Jiang greater accomplishments in the lofty and honorable cause.
Corneliu Vadim Tudor, president of the Greater Romania Party, warmly greeted Jiang's re-election in his message. The message also wished Jiang success in continuing to fulfill his lofty mission.
Leaders of some other foreign parties and organizations who sent congratulatory messages to Jiang on the occasion include Brazilian Socialist Party Vice-President Roberto Almara and the honorary chairman of the Japan-China Economic and Trade Center Kimura Ichizo.
