State-owned Enterprises Study Party Guidelines

State-owned enterprises or enterprises owned by the central government departments have held separate meetings to thoroughly study and implement the guidelines established by the Communist Party of China (CPC) at its just-concluded 16th National Congress.

State-owned enterprises or enterprises owned by the central government departments have held separate meetings to thoroughly study and implement the guidelines established by the Communist Party of China (CPC) at its just-concluded 16th National Congress.

In the course of their studies, Party members working in state-owned enterprises expressed determination to fully implement the guidelines in an effort to intensify the reform of state-owned enterprises and contribute to the building of a well-off society in an all-round way.

Staff of the Working Committee for Centrally-Administered Enterprises said that the congress further demonstrated the Party's upright image with regard to intensifying reforms and opening-up, maintaining world peace and advancing the cause of common development.

They expressed earnest support for Jiang Zemin's report to the congress and for the new CPC Central Committee with Hu Jintao as general secretary.

Members of the Board of Supervisors for Key Large State-Owned Enterprises said that the reform of the state-owned asset management system mentioned in Jiang's report is consistent with the current situation of state-owned enterprises. The report has fully affirmed the important status and role of leading state-owned enterprises in the national economy and in national security and has provided a comprehensive summary of the reform of state-owned enterprises.
