Chrysanthemum Show Opens in Hong Kong
The Hong Kong-Guangzhou Chrysanthemum Show 2002, the largest of its kind, opened Friday at Sha Tin Park in New Territories of Hong Kong with over 10,000 exhibits of chrysanthemum from Hong Kong and Guangzhou on display.

Director of Leisure and Cultural Services Paul Leung said at the opening ceremony that the show was not only one of the major events of the department this year to promote green culture, it was also the largest chrysanthemum show ever held in Hong Kong.
The show, jointly presented by the Hong Kong Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Guangzhou Municipal Gardens Bureau, is open to the public from Nov. 22 to Dec. 1.
The most unique exhibits of the show included three 3-meter high modeling chrysanthemums, each consisting of 600 small chrysanthemums, named as Gods of Fortune, Wealth and Longevity.
Apart from the display of chrysanthemums, a variety of activities are organized, including talks on chrysanthemum and promotional sales of flowers and traditional handicrafts.
