Jiang Accepts Credentials from Four New Ambassadors

Chinese President Jiang Zemin Wednesday accepted credentials from four newly-appointed foreign ambassadors to China in the Great Hall of the People.

Chinese President Jiang Zemin Wednesday accepted credentials from four newly-appointed foreign ambassadors to China in the Great Hall of the People.

They are Portuguese ambassador Antonio Nunes de Carvalho Santana Carlos, Afghan ambassador Qiamuddin Rai Barlas, Swedish ambassador Borje Ljunggren and Romanian ambassador Viorel Isticioaia.

The ambassadors arrived in the Chinese capital on Oct. 5, 11, 14 and 22, respectively.
