CPPCC Standing Committee Holds 19th Meeting

The 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held Monday.

The 19th meeting of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Ninth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held Monday.

Vice-chairman Ye Xuanping presided over the meeting and lauded the recently-concluded 16th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), a conference which emphasized solidarity and hard work.

The guidelines adopted at the conference will greatly encourage CPC members and Chinese people of all ethnic groups to contribute more to the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics, he said.
