Coal Mine Blast kills 9 in Southwest China
A gas explosion rocked a privately-owned coal mine in Shilin, in southwest China's Yunnan Province on Thursday, killing 9 and leaving one missing.

A gas explosion rocked a privately-owned coal mine in Shilin, in southwest China's
Yunnan
Province on Thursday, killing 9 and leaving one missing.
Some 10 miners were working at the site when the explosion occurred at about 21:00 on Thursday. A rescue team rushed to the site. Local government departments are searching for the missing miner and investigating the cause of the blast.
