Motorola Heralding China's Top 500 Foreign-Funded Firms

China's top 500 foreign-funded enterprises in year 2001 were unveiled recently according to sales volume. Motorola (China) Electronics Ltd. ranked the first for a consecutive second time.

China's top 500 foreign-funded enterprises in year 2001 were unveiled recently according to sales volume. Among them, Motorola (China) Electronics Ltd. ranked the first for a consecutive second time, SAIC-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd. up to the second place from the previous year's fifth, while Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. down to third from second.

Motorola reaped a sales income of 41.07 bn yuan in 2001, 9.781 bn more over that in 2000. Those who ranked the fourth to tenth are Beijing Capital-Nokia Ltd, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd., FAW-Volkswagen Sales Co., Ltd., Legend (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Huaneng Power International, Inc., Siemens Shanghai Mobile Communications Ltd. (SSMC) and Nanjing Ericsson Communication Co., Ltd..
