China, Zambia Sign Cultural Implementation Program
An implementation program under the cultural agreement between China and Zambia was signed Tuesday in Lusaka for the promotion of exchanges and cooperation in various fields.

The program, which covers 2003 up to 2005, envisages the exchange of government cultural delegations and performing art troupes, the holding of art exhibitions and sending experts for personnel training in culture and art.
Under the program, the two sides will encourage the exchange of cultural heritage information, the exchange for the preservation and management of cultural relics and technical exchanges and cooperation between the national libraries as well as between the national archives.
The two sides will encourage the exchange visits of specialists on education as well as exchanges and cooperation between the institutions of higher education.
The program calls for encouraging exchanges and cooperation in the field of sports.
The two sides will encourage exchanges and cooperation in the field of press and publication, broadcasting, as well as film and television, according to the program.
The program was signed by Chang Keren, special assistant to China's minister of Culture, and Guston Chola, Zambian deputy minister of Community Development and Social Services.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Norman Chibamba, Zambian minister of Community Development and Social Services, had a cordial conversation with Chang on furthering cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two friendly countries.
Chang arrived here on Monday for a friendship visit at the head of a Chinese government cultural delegation.
China and Zambia signed the cultural agreement in 1980.
