Democratic Parties Support CPC Leadership

Leaders of China's democratic parties have all expressed support for the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the eve of the 16th National Congress of the CPC.

Leaders of China's democratic parties have all expressed support for the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on the eve of the 16th National Congress of the CPC.

He Luli, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (RCCK), said the CPC national congress is a great political event for China. As a ruling party, the CPC will perform better in the country's modernization drive.

She said the RCCK, as a party that plays a role in state affairs, will improve its ability in participating in and discussing state affairs.

Ding Shisun, chairman of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, said all the members of the league believed the CPC congress would bring the development of China and the CPC to anew stage.

Leaders of other democratic parties including the China Democratic National Construction Association, China Association for Promoting Democracy, Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party, China Zhi Gong Dang, Jiusan Society and the Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League, said their party members would cooperate closely with the CPC to strive for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Zhang Xuwu, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, said the 16th National Congress of the CPC will greatly encourage the enthusiasm of the people working in the non-public sector in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
