Journalists Urged to Prepare for CPC's Congress

All journalists should be prepared for the national congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) due to begin in early November, said Ding Guangen, a member of thePolitical Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC.

At a prize-giving ceremony sponsored by the All-China Journalists Association in Beijing on Wednesday, Ding offered congratulations to those journalists who won national media awards and noted it was important to maintain a positive attitude for the upcoming congress.

He encouraged the journalists to devote themselves to news reporting and provide a better service for the people.

Liu Yunshan, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, said all journalists should follow the "Three Represents" thought and improve their work efficiency.
