Chinese Athletes Set More World Records at FESPIC Games

Chinese athletes set two more world records at the 8th Far East and South Pacific Gamesfor the Disabled (FESPIC Games) here on Tuesday, bringing the number of world marks refreshed at the Games to six.

Chinese athletes set two more world records at the 8th Far East and South Pacific Gamesfor the Disabled (FESPIC Games) here on Tuesday, bringing the number of world marks refreshed at the Games to six.

Chinese woman lifter Fu Taoyin, winner of the 56kg class powerlifting event at the 1998 FESPIC Games in Bangkok, set a new world record of 128kg in the open class event here on Tuesday. Herlift beat the previous mark of 127.5 set in 2000 by Nigerian Victoria Nneji.

Another Chinese Wang Yanhong set a new world record of 301 points in the women's individual standing archery event, beating the previous mark of 297 set in the Atlanta Paralympic Games by Pole Olejnik Malgorzata. Wang was the winner of the event at the Bangkok Games four years ago.
