China Donates Computers to Cambodia

The Chinese government Monday handed over 100 computers with 15 printers to the Cambodian government.

The Chinese government Monday handed over 100 computers with 15 printers to the Cambodian government.

Chinese ambassador to Cambodia Ning Fukui and Cambodian Minister of Commerce Cham Prasidh Monday inked the document on hand-over of the equipment on behalf of their respective governments.

The computers and printers were offered through "People-to-People Assistance in Information Technology Transfer" under the ASEAN +3 Projects. And the computers will be used to help Cambodiato set up small IT training centers in some provinces to train provincial and municipal officials as well as school pupils.

Cham Prasidh expressed his sincere thanks to China's assistance,which, he said " would assist Cambodia's social and economic development."

Ning Fukui said that he hopes the assistance will help Cambodiato narrow the information technology gap between Cambodia and other ASEAN ( Association of Southeast Asia Nations) members.
