Chinese Athletes Set New World Records at FESPIC Games

A Chinese swimmer and ashot putter set new world records in their respective events at the 8th Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled (FESPIC Games) Sunday in Busan.

A Chinese swimmer and ashot putter set new world records in their respective events at the 8th Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled (FESPIC Games) Sunday in Busan.

Wang Xiaofu, at the age of 13 as the youngest member of the Chinese contingent for the week-long Games, clocked two minutes 33.42 seconds in winning the SM8-class men's individual medley swimming event. He improved the previous mark by more than 22 seconds.

And Sun Haitao set a new world record in F12-class men's shot put final, with a best throw of 16.04 meters.
