According to the latest statistics released by the State Statistics Bureau (SSB), the nation's car production stood at 108,100 in September, up 48.3 percent over the same period of last year, and the first ever high monthly car output to hit 100,000 in number.

By the end of last September, car output hit monthly high of the four months in succession. Output from January to last September added up to 735.700, an increase of 42.3 percent as against the same period last year, surpassing last year's total.

Statistics show that FAW and SAIC continued to maintain a stable production of over 20,000 and 40,000 respectively in September, while the output of Dongfeng-Citroen saloon cars amounted to over 10,000 this month, doubling that the same period of last year.

Experts with SSB noted that since the beginning of this year, too many types of cars have been turned out for the eyes to take them in, for car to enter an ordinary family, it has become a conception deeply rooted in hearts of the people. And the criteria for car loans have been continuously lowered. With the support of the policy, the car market turns out exceedingly brisk. There used to have an off season for car sales in the bygone years, yet this year is probably to witness an exception.
